Lake Tahoe’s South Shore Community is located in both California and Nevada. The City of South Lake Tahoe, and El Dorado County, are the local government bodies for California, while Douglas County Nevada has jurisdiction over the smaller Tahoe-Township area. The Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce has been awarded funding from the City of South Lake Tahoe and El Dorado County Board of Supervisors to oversee a Wayfinding Project.  Wayfinding is a term used to describe an intuitive and engaging set of signs with visual appeal helping to direct people to places of interest in the community.
