The South Shore’s leadership development program was founded by the TahoeChamber in 2003. Since then, the program has graduated over 100 community leaders that have made their businesses or homes here in Lake Tahoe.
The mission of Leadership Lake Tahoe is to identify and develop current and future leaders through this comprehensive professional development program designed to increase knowledge and awareness of the issues and challenges facing the South Shore of Lake Tahoe.
Congratualtions to the Leadership Lake Tahoe Class of 2012

Program attendees will cover ten key aspects of our community including:
• Leadership Orientation
• Government (Nevada and California; City and County)
• Public Education System
• Social Services/Community Resources
• Tourism
• Environment/Transportation
• Public Safety
• Economic Development/Redevelopment
• Media/Communication
• Specialized leadership skills workshops (time management, understanding work style differences, advanced communication skills, diversity, marketing, generational differences in the workforce, etc.)
Community members from all business sectors looking for professional and personal development and more involvement in our community are encouraged to apply.

The Required Commitment
•Program sessions are held the second Wednesday of each month (September through June) 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
•Participants are expected to attend all sessions.
•Participants will work on a group project that will benefit the community and develop a multitude of leadership skills.
•Two “experiential” work-related assignments
