“My biggest accomplishment is being able to do what I love for a living. I get to work with my wife Lindsey every day and we have a blast creating photography and video content that our clients are proud to share… “

Brad has built a respected and sought after photography business in Lake Tahoe, Brad Scott Visuals. He is known not only for his creative work but also for his genuine character and investing in efforts that benefit the local community, often donating his art for charity.

Congratulations to this week’s 40 under 40 honoree, Brad Scott!

Can you tell us a little about your responsibilities and accomplishments in your current position?

As director of photography and owner of Brad Scott Visuals I work with my clients to create beautiful and compelling content that shows off the best of what they do as a business. We specialize in hospitality, architecture, tourism and luxury real estate photography and video but also work on a number of other commercial photo and video projects for many different types of businesses. We love creating all different types of content and working with creative individuals throughout the community. We do everything from pre planning, capturing content, and editing to create the final product.

I also sell fine art photography prints of our beautiful area online through my website laketahoeprints.com. We were commissioned by a private collector to create custom photography for art in their luxury home. We flew to the Bahamas where we traveled around to incredible islands in the beautiful Exumas capturing aerial, underwater and panoramic fine art photography. It was a dream job for me!

I think my biggest accomplishment is being able to do what I love for a living. I get to work with my wife Lindsey every day and we have a blast creating photography and video content that our clients are proud to share and use for their marketing efforts.

What has been your favorite professional moment in the last year?

I have been lucky to be able to work with amazing clients this last year. Some projects that I am particularly proud of include; creating a collection of videos showcasing all of the Tahoe Beach Club amenities that their private members are able to enjoy. Capturing the private community of Clear Creek Tahoe showcasing their incredible custom homes, facilities, and property.

Helping Chase International take their Luxury Estates Tour that is usually a live event and creating luxury property tour videos to take the event online due to the restrictions of Covid 19. While these were some of my favorite moments I really enjoy getting to know all of my amazing clients and building lasting business relationships with them.

Do you have a professional/life mantra that you try to live by?

I have found that being reliable, easygoing and a hard worker goes a long way. If I create the best photography and video that I possibly can, then my clients are more likely to tell others about my services. Great customer experience speaks louder than any other form of marketing.

Who is your role model?

I have a few role models in life but my father Jon taught me to work hard and always think outside of the box. My other role model is my wife Lindsey. I am lucky enough to get to spend every day with her and she has such a great attitude and makes me a better man. I am also inspired by other photographers and videographers that push the envelope on creativity.

Why choose Tahoe to make your home and career?

Tahoe is my home. Even though I was born in the UK, I spent the majority of my life growing up in Tahoe and I competed in Big Air and Slopestyle skiing. I fell in love with the mountains and love the water too. Tahoe is almost like living by the ocean and the lake gives you that sense of calm. I have been very blessed to be able to see many beautiful places and have lived in other beautiful locations like Hawaii but there is something extremely special about Tahoe. The natural beauty here is hard to beat and the community here is very supportive.

Are you active in any volunteer roles or community groups?

I always love to support programs like Live Violence Free, Clean Up The Lake, Tahoe Fund and any other groups that make our community a better and safer place. I donate art to help raise funds for these local organizations.

What is your favorite thing to do outside of work?

I love to travel and explore new places around the world. I love learning about different cultures and seeing different landscapes. I enjoy mountain biking, SUP boarding and boating in the summer. In the winter I love skiing at our local mountains.

Where are your favorite South Shore stomping grounds?

I love being out in nature and one of the benefits of being in Tahoe is that there is so many beautiful spots to explore right in your backyard. There are too many to list.
