As the Regional Vice President of Marketing for Caesars Entertainment, Nicholas Breaux oversees all programming, advertising, PR and entertainment activities at Harrah’s and Harveys casinos. This 40 under 40 honoree is the driving force and creativity behind the Lake Tahoe Summer Concert Series, which just had it’s most successful summer since it’s inception 17 years ago.

Nicholas is also a very active community member sitting on both the Board of Directors and Marketing Committee of the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority to help promote his beautiful home to visitors around the world. Get to know Nicholas a little better in his Q&A below.

Congratulations to this week’s 40 under 40 honoree, Nicholas Breaux!

Can you tell us a little about your responsibilities and accomplishments in your current position?

In my current role I oversee all Caesars Entertainment Marketing activities for our Northern NV properties. In Lake Tahoe specifically, that includes all programming that drives VIP and retail business to our Harrah’s & Harveys Casinos, as well as Advertising, PR, and Entertainment activities.  At our recent Caesars Entertainment Leadership Summit I was honored, along with 15 other leaders, with the Excellence in Leadership Award given to the top leaders in our company. It was a humbling experience to receive the award directly from our CEO Mark Frissora.

What has been your favorite professional moment in the last year?

This past year we were proud to host one of the most successful Lake Tahoe Summer Concert Series in the past 17 years since it’s inception. We hosted 18 amazing shows that included a wide array of world class musicians representing many different genres of music.  It’s a proud moment to see those concerts lift not only our own business results, but those of the entire Tahoe Chamber membership and community.

Do you have a professional/life mantra that you live by?

I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have had senior leaders in my career who have lifted me up and been cheerleaders of my success.  I believe the best professional/life mantra is to promote those around you who deserve to be recognized and lifted up.

Who is your role model?

Over the course of my 15 years with Caesars Entertainment I’ve had the pleasure of working for many amazing female leaders at multiple Caesars properties around the country, as well as working with many female colleagues.  To this day, I account much of my success to those amazing women who have made a huge impact on my life.

Why choose Tahoe to make your home and career?

In the over 40 casinos and resorts included in the Caesars Entertainment portfolio, our Lake Tahoe properties are widely acknowledged as two of our most prized locations. The history of Bill Harrah personally building Harrah’s Lake Tahoe to his own specifications still can be seen in the details that property offers.  The pride and longevity of our employees in Lake Tahoe are unmatched in our company.  I will always be proud of my time in Lake Tahoe and the accomplishments thus far.

Are you active in any volunteer roles or community groups?

I have the distinct honor of serving on both the Board of Directors and Marketing Committee of the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority. It’s been an honor working closely with Carol Chaplin and the entire staff at the LTVA who work tirelessly to promote our beautiful destination to potential visitors from around the globe.

What is your favorite thing to do outside of work?

I’ve competitively shown Peruvian Horses my entire life and became an accredited judge in 2011. I’ve had the honor of judging horse shows in both the United States and internationally, and have been selected to judge the 2019 U.S. National Peruvian Horse Show this October. Since moving to Northern NV I’ve challenged my equestrian acumen and purchased my first Arabian horse. With the guidance and instruction from a nationally recognized horse trainer in nearby Minden, NV I’ve successfully shown in the Arabian horse show circuit for the past two years and will be competing at the prestigious Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show this February vying for top prizes amongst the country’s best 2,300 Arabian Horses.

Where are your favorite South Shore stomping grounds?

When enjoying time away from the office you can find me in a kayak on the lake. I feel so lucky and blessed to live in a community that has such an amazing natural wonder as Lake Tahoe!
