NOTICE OF VACANCY
MEASURE S CITIZENS’ OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE
(5) FIVE VACANCIES EXIST ON THE MEASURE S CITIZENS’ OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE.
Description: The Measure S Citizens’ Oversight Committee meets on an annual basis prior to the Board of Supervisors approval of the County’s Recommended Budget to review the revenue and expenditure of funds generated by the Transient Occupancy Tax (Tax). The Committee prepares a written report to the Board of Supervisors relating to the revenue and expenditure of Tax funds.
All members shall at the time of appointment and at all times during membership hold primary residency in the unincorporated portion of the Tahoe Area of the County, as legally described in Resolution 063-2022. Failure to maintain such status shall result in a vacancy in office.
The Committee should consist of varied membership including homeowners and community members representing business, recreation, tourism, and other appropriate interests necessary to provide a balanced review of the Tax funds.
Term for this Vacancy: Four-year term
