Introducing the Leadership Lake Tahoe Class of 2017-18

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE — The Tahoe Chamber is pleased to announce 22 graduates from Leadership Lake Tahoe, a comprehensive 10-month program designed to develop current and future leaders in the community.

The 2017-18 leadership class began Sept. 13, 2017 and concluded this Thursday, June 14 with a graduation ceremony.

Class participants met once a month for a full class day on aspecific topic designed to increase knowledge and awareness of issues and challenges facing the community. Topics range from social services, environment and transportation, government, and more. Graduates also completed a large group project and presentation.

“A significant goal at the Chamber has always been to develop leaders in the community, and we’re excited to see how these graduates apply what they’ve learned to advance our community and achieve their professional goals,” said Tahoe Chamber CEO Steve Teshara.

The 22-member graduating class is listed as follows:

The Chamber launched the Leadership Lake Tahoe program in 2003 with the goal of developing and fostering community leadership. The program is made possible by alumni who serve as Task Force members to organize each class.

Chaired by Lyndsay Bryant (2012) and Natasha Schue (2014), the Task Force includes Troy Matthews (’16), Evon Yakar (’14), Jane Flavin (2004), Jude Wood (’16), Lauren Thomaselli (’12), Ryan Schue (’16), David Orr (’16) and Scott Weavil (’16).
