Stay Healthy and Happy this New Year with Help from Local Experts

Tahoe Chamber’s Level UP Workshop returns Dec. 19

December 5, 2018 (South Lake Tahoe, Calif./Nev.) – The Tahoe Chamber’s Level UP Workshop series, which brings expert presenters and hot button topics to the South Shore business community, returns December 19 with “Health and Wellness Roundtable.”

Do you need some inspiration on how to create some healthy intentions for 2019? This Level UP Workshop will bring local health experts in the field together for a Health & Wellness Roundtable, helping you better understand and improve your physical and mental health. Our experts will explore a range of topics such as; holistic healing, pain management, acupuncture, battling bad office posture, and how to avoid repetitive injuries.

Our panel will include Dr. Darin Haworth from Summit to Shore Chiropractic, and from Elevate Wellness Center we will have Tamsin Edwards, Jessica Cerasoli, a Licensed Acupuncturist, Nicole Vanderhurst, a Neuromuscual Massage Therapist, and Emilie Delworth, a Holistic Nutritionist.

Bring all of your burning questions to the workshop and participate in an open discussion about how you can improve your health, manage your pain, and explore alternative health solutions. Sign the whole team up and learn how to keep the office healthy and happy all year long!

This workshop will be hosted from 12 p.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Tahoe Chamber’s conference room, 169 US Hwy. 50 in Stateline. Admission is $10 for Chamber members and $20 for non-members.

For more information and to register for the workshop, visit TahoeChamber.org.

Meet the experts:

Dr. Darin Haworth DC, MS, CCSP

Dr. Darin Haworth is a certified sports chiropractor with his Master’s degree in exercise science which has added additional experience and practical application to his skillset. He has worked with athletes of varying levels, from the weekend warrior to the professional athlete. He knows how to treat athletes not only because of his education, but also his personal experience as an athlete himself. Dr. Haworth likes to ski, mountain bike, hike, swim, and everything else with his wife Melanie and dog Macy. He has been practicing in South Lake for 3 years after moving from Portland, OR.

Dr. Haworth is excited to join us at the Health and Wellness Roundtable to speak about how to battle office posture and avoid repetitive injuries.

Nicole Vandehurst, LMT, MA, CSCS

As an athlete and life-long health and fitness enthusiast, Nicole has always been fascinated by the human body. She began her journey as a wellness therapist in 2004, upon graduation from the National Holistic Institute, establishing a Performance Sports Massage practice in Santa Rosa where she worked with college, semi pro athletes, and fitness enthusiasts. A degree in Kinesiology followed, deepening her understanding of how to help others with chronic pain and unmanageable tension through bodywork. Her current practice as a neuromuscular therapist and strength and conditioning coach, blends her prior experience with trigger point therapy and a holistic approach to health and wellbeing, with an intent to bring the body back into balance. Recently graduated, (again!) with a degree in Sports Psychology, Nicole is now adding mental performance coaching to her impressive repertoire.

Jessica Cerasoli, LAc, RN

Early exposure to herbal medicine highlighted the connection between nutritional choices and physical and emotional well being for Jessica. She began her journey into healthcare as a registered nurse, first at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, before returning to her home community in South Lake Tahoe at Barton Memorial Hospital. After suffering some health setbacks, she found acupuncture to be an effective tool in rebuilding and resetting her system, and addressing the root cause of her struggles. Jessica graduated from Five Branches University in Santa Cruz, CA, where she received her Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and became a licensed Acupuncturist. Her focus is on integrative sports medicine and orthopedics, with an emphasis on pain management.

Emilie Delworth, DHN

Emilie is a recent graduate of the Edison Institute of Nutrition. Her passion for holistic nutrition developed after her own struggles with deteriorating health. Several years spent revamping her diet and lifestyle, and sharing this journey with friends and family, led to a formal education in the field so that she could guide others in reclaiming their own lives. Her practice involves a personalized approach based on biochemical individuality, and she’s a firm believer in balancing holistic remedies with scientific support. It is her greatest joy to be able to offer her skills and knowledge to the Tahoe community.
