Chamber Advocacy a 24/7 Commitment

At the Tahoe Chamber, our advocacy on behalf of the needs and interests of business is a 24-7 commitment. Last week was particularly busy. We testified before the City Council in favor of a new contract that would keep the SnowGlobe Music Festival in our community for multiple years, and before the Douglas County Commission in support of maintaining County Redevelopment Area #2 in Stateline.

Our Board of Directors approved a letter to the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors endorsing the roundabout option for the Pioneer Trail-US Highway 50 intersection improvement project and a letter to the Tahoe Transportation District supporting the One Tahoe initiative, a public outreach process that seeks to identify one or more options to significantly increase funding for local transit services and ensure more environmentally-friendly transportation infrastructure.
