The Douglas County Community Services Foundation is a non-profit dedicated to ensuring that the community and senior centers in Douglas County are equipped and well maintained so that everyone can utilize and enjoy them.

What type of business do you represent and how long have you been in business?

The Foundation is a Non-Profit 501©3 Corporation which was formed in October 2011 to furnish and equip all the community and senior centers in Douglas County. Please visit us at https://www.douglascountycommunityservicesfoundation.com/

Tell us more about what products and services your business offers. Is there anything people might not be aware you offer?

The Foundation sponsors Youth Scholarships to any child at the Kahle Community Center and Gymnasium and the Douglas County Community and Senior Center. Children from California or Nevada can go to either facility and ask for an annual pass and they will receive it, no questions

Tell us about any current/upcoming events, promotions, or unique deals happening at your organization.

The Foundation is sponsoring “Fore the Kids” Golf Tournament at Genoa Lakes, May 18, Please visit our event website at www.forethekidsdc.com for more information. We will also be sponsoring an event in Tahoe at which we will be announcing naming rights, the date and event will be published very soon.

Why did you choose to join the Tahoe Chamber?

To be recognized as being a part of our community.

Is there anything else you would like to share with us to be featured in the Member Spotlight?

The Foundation has provided over $2 million in equipment, furnishings and upgrades which included weight equipment at Kahle Community Center and Gymnasium. At the Douglas County Community and Senior Center, the Foundation has also funded the largest flag set in Northern Nevada, new generator, various furnishings and carpeting to name a few. The newest project the Foundation has funded is a 30′ climbing wall which will be completed by October/November 2019.
