Chamber members and the general public are invited to attend Tahoe Chamber’s 2023 State of the South Shore community meeting on Wednesday, May 17 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Tahoe Beach Retreat Conference Center. The center is located at 3411 Lake Tahoe Boulevard in South Lake Tahoe.

This annual chamber program is a unique opportunity to hear from a representative from each invited jurisdiction. This year’s participating jurisdictions are El Dorado County, City of South Lake Tahoe, Tahoe Regional Planning Agency and the South Tahoe Public Utility District. Each presentation will highlight recent accomplishments, current challenges and opportunities, and strategic objectives for 2023 and beyond.

Guest presenters this year are El Dorado County District V Supervisor Brooke Laine, South Lake Tahoe City Manager Joe Irvin, Cindy Gustafson, current chair of the TRPA Governing Board, and Shelly Thomsen, Director of Public and Legislative Affairs for the South Tahoe Public Utility District.

Tahoe Chamber CEO Mike Glover will open the program with remarks on strategic objectives for Tahoe Chamber. Steve Teshara, the chamber’s Director of Government Relations, will serve as program moderator.

“Our annual State of the South Shore community program is an informative program for all community members, said Tahoe Chamber CEO Mike Glover. “It’s a unique opportunity to hear from four of our major public agencies at one meeting. While it serves as our annual Tahoe Chamber membership meeting, our State of the South Shore is open to any and all interested persons.”

The community address will also be hosted live on Zoom at https://us06web.zoom.us/j/81279302702. In-person attendees can submit written questions to be asked by the moderator. The event is free for Tahoe Chamber members and non-members.
