Black Bear Lodge is a boutique hotel that offers five guest rooms in the main lodge and four spacious cabins for guests to choose from. Conveniently located just walking distance from Lake Tahoe and the slopes of Heavenly Mountain Resort, Black Bear Lodge is the perfect spot for a romantic getaway or family gathering. What type of business do you represent and how long have you been in business?
Black Bear Lodge is a boutique hotel on Ski Run Blvd. My husband and I purchased the property just over a year ago. The prior owners built the property in 1998 and ran it as a bed and breakfast formally known as Black Bear Inn.
Tell us more about what products and services your business offers. Is there anything people may not be aware you offer?
One of the new focuses we want to bring to the property is weddings and group events. The property sits on just over an acre and is an ideal spot for an intimate wedding any time of year. We are able to accommodate indoor weddings November through April and outdoor weddings May through October.
Tell us about any current/upcoming events, promotions, or unique deals happening at your organization.
We are currently building a wine and beer bar that will be open to the public starting in May. It will be a great way for locals to be able to enjoy this beautiful property as well. Stay tuned to TahoeBlackBear.com for opening details and special offers.
Why did you choose to join the Tahoe Chamber?
As a new business, it was important for us to join the Tahoe Chamber to be able to connect with other local businesses. We live in a small community, so the community support and word of mouth are very valuable to our business.
Is there anything else you would like to share with us to be featured in the New Member Spotlight?
On June 3 from 12:00 – 4:00 pm, we are hosting a wedding Open House and Vendor Showcase. The event is free to the public – even if you aren’t looking to get married, feel free to stop by. The backyard will be set up for a ceremony and local vendors will be showcasing their work.
