Local Restaurants Release New COVID-19 Safety Video to Encourage Safe Dining

August 6, 2020 (South Lake Tahoe, Calif./Nev.) – Now, as much as ever, our local community is coming together for the health and wellbeing of our residents and businesses. We are all being affected in different ways by COVID-19 and our local businesses are working to navigate this pandemic safely and successfully.

The South Shore of Lake Tahoe is in uncertain times, but we want to let you know that you can count on:

  1. Businesses taking extra precautions to keep their staff and customers safe.
  2. Residents are coming together to support local businesses.
  3. Local businesses rely on the support of local residents.

Locally there are many businesses that are stepping up to #KeepTahoeSafe, including those of the South Tahoe Restaurant Association. The association members are working hard to do their part to keep their guests safe and comfortable while dining in or ordering take out. Extra steps are necessary and procedures are being implemented so that they are able to stay open, while keeping employees and customers safe.

The South Tahoe Restaurant Association has announced their new COVID-19 safety video, which invites guests to “Elevate your Palate” at their locations, where they have implemented the following safety procedures:

  • Everyone who enters is required to wear a mask. This includes staff and customers.
  • All our staff are required to have temperature and symptom checks before a shift
  • We are encouraging staff to get regular Covid 19 testing.
  • We are washing our hands. A lot.
  • We are practicing proper social distancing.
  • We are keeping our restaurants clean.
  • We are making as much outdoor seating available as we can.
  • We are allowing and encouraging curbside pickup.
