Where to Donate – Caldor Fire Relief

El Dorado Community Foundation

The Caldor Fire Fund has been established to support the families impacted by this fire, and your entire donation will go to support those families. These are our friends, neighbors, and families. With your support, we can help to make a difference in the lives of those who need us now more than ever. All donations to the Caldor Fire Fund will be unrestricted. Donate HERE.

 

The Community Disaster Resource Center (CDRC)

The organization’s mission is to acquire and distribute public and private donations and grants to provide short-term emergency assistance, longer term aid, information, and other resources to residents of South Lake Tahoe displaced by disaster to ensure such residents have the basic necessities such as food, clothing, housing, and transportation. Barton Foundation Emergency Response Fund

The Barton Foundation will distribute food cards, redeemable at Safeway stores in $25 increments, at The Attic Thrift Store, Bread & Broth, Boys & Girls Club of Lake Tahoe, Tahoe Family Resource Center, Tahoe Youth & Family Services, and Live Violence Free beginning September 20. Donate HERE.

 

Tahoe Coalition for the Homeless

The coalition actively worked with the South Lake Tahoe Police Department, Tahoe Transportation District, and Lake Tahoe Unified District in providing transportation to vulnerable and mobility-impaired residents who do not have transportation. Donate HERE.

 

Lake Valley Firefighter’s Community Relief Fund

This fund has been set up and initiated by the firefighter wives to help support the immediate needs and efforts of Lake Valley Fire crews, the other agencies, and the Caldor fire in general. It will start by supporting the crews with food and supplies until the base camp is set up. The remaining money will be donated to the Lake Valley Firefighter’s Foundation. Donate HERE.

 

American Red Cross

The organization is operated 5 evacuation centers in Reno, Carson City, and Gardnerville. Donate HERE.

 

Tahoe Trail Organizations

TAMBA

TAMBA TAMBA is dedicated to the stewardship of sustainable, multiple-use trails and to preserving access for mountain bikers through advocacy, education and promotion of responsible trail use. Donations help build and maintain great trails in Tahoe. Donate HERE.

 

Tahoe Rim Trail Association

Tahoe Rim Trail Association’s mission is to maintain and enhance the Tahoe Rim Trail system, practice and inspire stewardship, and preserve access to the natural beauty of the Lake Tahoe region. Donate HERE.

 

Motherlode Trail Association

Support El Dorado County’s trail advocacy group through direct donations. This support keeps our all-volunteer organization moving to build and maintain quality trails for the community. Donate HERE.
