Wild Horse Site was created entirely by volunteers to let the public and business community know we have wild horses & burros living naturally on public lands, mainly in Nevada. Their magnificence is moving and they are a gift to us. People are attracted to the Lake Tahoe area for its beauty, for the western experience and the history and appreciation for wild horses.

Wild Horse Site is an umbrella group that pulls together information from varied sources to act as an informational hub for wild horses & burros’ history, habits, contributions, and threats.
Tell us more about what products and services your business offers. Is there anything people may not be aware you offer?
The more we learn about our native North American wildlife, the role they play in our ecosystem and how they benefit us, the more amazed we are and the more we want to tell others. We provide a service with our personal appearances and our online presence to talk and share information about these extraordinary wild animals and their past and present status through brochures, featured articles, exclusive news, and boutique items. Do you know the Virginia Range horses belong to the most famous horse herd in Nevada—featured in The Misfits starring Clark Gable and Marilyn Monroe—which helped pave the way for the Wild Horse & Burro Act of 1971? And the herd is more recently noted in Smithsonian Magazine as the best place to view wild horses in North America?

We participate in craft fairs and tabling events in Lake Tahoe, farmers markets and flea markets in Carson Valley and Earth Day in Reno, as well as distribute Wild Horse Adventure of Nevada at local establishments for resources to experience the Nevadan lifestyle proudly featuring wild horses.
