September 25, 2019 (South Lake Tahoe, Calif./Nev.) – The South Shore business community is invited to attend the Tahoe Chamber’s Level UP Workshop: Tax Saving Strategies on October 9 from 12 to 1:30 PM. Workshop facilitator and tax expert, Scott Peters from Mann Urrutia Nelson (MUN) CPAs, will address frequent tax mistakes and share new opportunities to help small businesses save money.

According to the Wasp Barcode Technologies Survey of Small Business Owners, 52% of respondents feel that they pay too much in taxes, but are unsure of how to reduce their amount owed. This workshop will offer solutions and explore topics, including when to incorporate your business, the small business cycle, tax planning strategies, tax credits and how they change the game, and other tax incentive opportunities.

Scott Peters is a licensed CPA who has a passion for helping small businesses. As the manager of the South Lake Tahoe MUN CPAs office, he has experience working with companies in multiple industries and has handled tax returns for C-Corporations, S-Corporations, Partnerships, LLC’s and individual income. Scott’s work has an emphasis in preparing and calculating Research & Development tax credits for sole proprietorship’s, startups, and existing companies, and he is also knowledgeable of Opportunity Zone Funds, a highly anticipated tax incentive passed with the new 2017 tax law.

Level UP Workshops are $10 for chamber members and $20 for non-members and are held at the Tahoe Chamber offices (169 HWY 50, Stateline, NV 89449). To register for this workshop, visit www.tahoechamber.org.
