The Tahoe Chamber’s newest member, HPM Photo, was created by Hannah Pence in 2015 to turn her passion into a career with an emphasis on photography, marketing and business consulting.

What type of business do you represent and how long have you been in business?

Photography. Established 2015. I began shooting for fun when I was younger, then more formally, and then built the H|P|M Photo brand around 2017 more seriously. Since then, I am grateful to have such great support from the community of individuals, local shops, and a wide range of visitors to this area.

Tell us more about what products and services your business offers. Is there anything people might not be aware you offer?

Photography. Long term, I would love to get into more collaborative work with agencies and businesses and maybe consulting someday. If there is something I can’t shoot, I will happily refer clients to another photographer or vendor – networking is key.

Tell us about any current/upcoming events, promotions, or unique deals happening at your organization.

Lately I have been focused on corporate headshots and commercial work, as the digital experience is important for businesses as so many things are remote right now. There are less in-person weddings and less events so updating marketing images is really useful, and I love to work on it. Photos can tell a story in a way that words just don’t.

Why did you choose to join the Tahoe Chamber?

I have seen the good work the Tahoe Chamber does proactively to support new and existing businesses locally and I love that it is a community, not just lip service. Short term, I always see the Chamber give things a positive spin and I like that – the optimism, the positivity, the putting words into practice. The Chamber team works hard and takes its mission seriously and looks for new ways to give SMB tools and connections that will help these companies in the long-term. Tourism is vital and larger companies can have such a powerful impact of course, but I feel very personally attached to the importance of local small businesses here in Lake Tahoe.

Is there anything else you would like to share with us to be featured in the Member Spotlight?

I am looking forward to meeting more folks in the network, on all sides of Lake Tahoe, and in our surrounding towns! This is a magnificent place and an incredible network of people and I am excited to see what happens next.
