“I am proud to integrate new technologies into many local businesses with smart and reliable IT solutions.”

Julio Arrue is the owner of Lake Tahoe Computers, LLC, where he works to provide local businesses with computer repairs, WiFi services, surveillance needs, and new technology integration. A Lima, Peru native, Julio completed engineering school and moved to South Lake Tahoe with a dream to open his own business.

Congratulations to this week’s 40 under 40 honoree, Julio Arrue!

Can you tell us a little about your responsibilities and accomplishments in your current position?

As an active owner of Lake Tahoe Computers, LLC, we are serving the Lake Tahoe and surrounding areas with computer repair sales and networking. After 11 years in business, today I administrate Network, Wi-Fi and Surveillance for many local businesses. I am proud to integrate new technologies into many local businesses with smart and reliable IT solutions. I accomplish any size of projects with innovative and cloud-managed technology. Under our slogan “Technology created for you”, we really like to make technology work and be more comprehensive for all people. I tend to make IT technology more understandable for the majority of my clients and friends.

What has been your favorite professional moment in the last year?

I traveled to Calabazas in LA where I finally completed a triple Networking Certification with Ubiquiti Networks. The testing was really complicated but I came back with all these new experiences that I’m using to deploy in local businesses. Wi-Fi technology is a need! My clients trust and believe in my IT solutions. I’m glad to bring them scalable networks, cloud managed solutions, products and experience that are very reliable. And last but not least, the majority of our IT solutions are right there in budget.

Do you have a professional/life mantra that you live by?

Professionally, I love to be challenged with projects that other people would think twice about accepting. I stride to set myself high goals. I follow the saying: “Target to the moon, because if you fail at least you’ll be between the stars”

Happiness is very important to me. I truly enjoy what I do in IT and any technologies related fields. Transmitting that passion to all levels of my life, to my family, my kids and my wife is what I work to achieve. Happiness comes from our own interior; from ourselves.

Who is your role model?

I started Lake Tahoe Computers thanks to my role models Michael Dell and his book and Robert Kiyosaki and his books as well.  I follow in social media many IT leaders and investors.

Why choose Tahoe to make your home and career?

I was born and raised in Lima, Peru. I went to Engineering School and later moved to Atlanta, Georgia. After some years, I came to South Lake Tahoe, California and found myself a beautiful place to live. We started our Computer Repair shop as a dream of a 24 year old with no money and no big assets, not even a car! We just started with illusion and passion, but with a lot of knowledge and a target of becoming one of the leaders of Technologies. Stationary business makes Lake Tahoe a really tough market. In contrast it’s a beautiful place to live. My three kids were born here, and they consider this place as home, as well as my wife and myself.

Are you active in any volunteer roles or community groups?

Last year I became AYSO coach in soccer which I enjoy! Being in IT, I support and help many of my friends and clients. I believe this career is about knowledge, solutions and volunteering what I learn to others.

What is your favorite thing to do outside of work?

I honestly like to cook Peruvian dishes. I experimented with Mexican dishes and even Indian food. When I give myself time I’m biking, skiing, and enjoying the lake with my kids and my wife.

Where are your favorite South Shore stomping grounds?

I’ve been everywhere around Lake Tahoe. Lately my favorite place is Ski Run Marina. There’s the beach, jet ski rentals and places to eat. It’s a pretty place to be with family and friends.
