Accurate Audio Video opened in South Lake Tahoe in 1971, and Ryan Schue is now the third generation of his family to run the business. Ryan manages their team of installers and programmers, while still making time to coach his sons’ soccer and baseball teams and be on the Leadership Lake Tahoe Task Force.

Can you tell us a little about your responsibilities and accomplishments in your current position?
I am the 3rd generation of a local family business. My business has been in South Lake Tahoe since 1971.
I manage our team of installers and programmers who install high end Audio/Video, Network and Control/Automation systems in homes. I started working for my father when I was in high school and came back after college. I pride myself on growing the level of service my company offers our clients. We have continued business with many of our clients for well over 20 years.
What has been your favorite professional moment in the last year?
My favorite professional moment is being recognized as a top dealer by Sony and Control4. We are much smaller than most businesses that earn the same recognition.
Do you have a professional/life mantra that you live by?
In life, I try my best to be respectful and kind to others. It helps keep my attitude positive as well as others around me.
Who is your role model?
My role models are very general. I look up to people who have created successful businesses from a small business or an idea. The drive and pathways to success all vary and I find very interesting. Tahoe seems to be attracting many people like this and it is exciting to see.

I was born and raised in South Lake Tahoe and was fortunate to come back after college. I love the outdoors and especially the lake. Being able to have a rewarding career and live in a recreational area is truly great.
Are you active in any volunteer roles or community groups?
I am part of the Leadership Lake Tahoe task force and I coach youth soccer and Baseball.
What is your favorite thing to do outside of work?
I enjoy all things outdoor; skiing, mountain biking, playing on the water, especially with my wife and 2 boys.
Where are your favorite South Shore stomping grounds
My favorite stomping grounds are Sierra at Tahoe, Baldwin Beach and Washoe Meadows State Park.
