Above 6000 — Fall 2025 Edition

The Fall 2025 edition of Above 6000 is here — capturing the incredible energy of this year’s Sample the Sierra festival, celebrating our local Chamber members, and spotlighting the people and businesses that make our region thrive.

This season’s publication is filled with highlights from Tahoe’s signature food and wine event, inspiring stories from local entrepreneurs, and updates on the Chamber’s work to support business growth and community engagement across South Lake Tahoe.

Sample the Sierra: A Delicious Day Under the Pines

After a four-year hiatus, Sample the Sierra returned for its second consecutive year — and it was nothing short of a success. With 1,300 attendees (65% from out of market), the festival proved once again to be both a tourism driver and a community connector.

Visitors and locals alike enjoyed bites, sips, and live music under the pines, thanks to the generous contributions of more than 40 food and beverage vendors and 70 dedicated volunteers. It was a day filled with flavor, fun, and the spirit of Tahoe — all setting the stage for the next festival on September 19, 2026.

Chamber Member Highlights

This edition also shines a light on some incredible Chamber members who continue to make Tahoe proud — from Fox & Hound Smokehouse Grill & Bar and Tahoe Blue Vodka’s perfect festival pairing, to Flow & Glow’s wellness-forward approach and Sierra Sotheby’s International Realty’s signature touch of luxury.

We also meet creative makers like Sierra Soap Box Candle Co., MacDuff’s Public House, Sidellis Brewery, Toulouse and E16 Winery, whose flavors and artistry capture the very essence of our region. These stories showcase what makes our business community so special — passion, innovation, and an unwavering love for Lake Tahoe.
