The 2025 Go Local Business Expo Returns for Its 14th Year—Celebrating Local Businesses, Past and Present
South Lake Tahoe, CA – The Go Local Business Expo is set to return on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at the Tahoe Blue Event Center, bringing together local businesses, nonprofits, and professionals for an evening of networking, connection, and celebration of Tahoe’s thriving business community. Now in its 14th year, this long-standing event has grown to become Lake Tahoe’s largest networking and B2B event, attracting more than 1,000 attendees and featuring over 105 vendors showcasing their products, services, and expertise. What started in 2007 with just 75 vendors has now expanded into over 105 vendors for 2025, demonstrating the strength and resilience of Tahoe’s business community.
Over the years, the Expo has provided businesses with a direct platform to engage with the community, forge partnerships, and highlight their contributions to South Lake Tahoe’s economy. Over the years, some of Tahoe’s most beloved businesses have participated, many of which have left a lasting mark on the region. The Expo has featured establishments such as Lakeside Inn and Casino, a community staple from 1969 until its closure in 2020 due to the economic impact of COVID-19. Local Radio station, 93.9 The Lake, home to the well-known morning show hosted by comedian Howie Nave, was also a past participant. Even the iconic Tahoe Queen, which cruised the lake for 33 years before being lost to fire in 2016, was once part of this vibrant business showcase. While these businesses may no longer be part of the community, their presence at past Expos allowed them to be celebrated, remembered, and connected with the people who cherished them for years.

As South Shore businesses continue to grow and change, the Go Local Business Expo remains a celebration of both new and established businesses. It offers attendees a unique chance to meet business owners, learn about exclusive offers and specials, and stay up to date with the latest developments in key industries. Local favorites will be returning, alongside fresh new vendors eager to introduce themselves to the community. The event floor will be filled with a diverse mix of businesses, including those focused on outdoor adventure, health and wellness, hospitality, dining, and nonprofit organizations making an impact in the Tahoe region. Attendees can also look forward to food and beverage tastings, including specialties from Edgewood Tahoe and the well-loved Rum Runners from The Grove.

This year also marks a milestone for three local institutions— South Tahoe Public Utilities District celebrating their 75th anniversary, the City of South Lake Tahoe celebrating their 60th anniversary and Lake Tahoe Community College celebrating their 50th anniversary. The Business Expo will be the perfect place to commemorate these achievements and connect with those shaping the future of our region.
The Tahoe Chamber encourages the community to be part of this exciting event. Tickets are available now for $20, with free admission for children under 9. They can be purchased at the Tahoe Blue Event Center Box Office or online via Ticketmaster. The Expo is not just an event—it’s a reflection of the entrepreneurial spirit that makes Tahoe’s business community so strong.
