Lake Tahoe’s favorite farm-to-fork festival is back! Join Tahoe Chamber and the South Lake Tahoe community for Sample the Sierra’s 11th year at Bijou Community Park on Saturday, September 21st from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Beloved by locals and visitors alike, Sample the Sierra brings together local chefs and restaurants with neighboring growers and producers to turn-out scrumptious samples craftily paired with the appropriate wine, brew, or spirit. This year’s festival marketplace includes locally made goods such as jam, soap, honey, and olive oil along with specialty products, such as fine art, jewelry, crafts, and more. Taste unique recipe creations from some of the best chefs in the region while mingling with friends and family under the Tahoe sunshine.

“While we’ll be honoring the tradition of Sample the Sierra, we’re also doing what we can to encourage sustainable tourism as part of this year’s event”, said Tahoe Chamber Chair-Elect Jenay Aiksnoras. “Digital ticketing and reusing what we have is the theme this year. As attendees, you can do your part to reduce your impact on Tahoe by carpooling, riding your bicycle, or taking Lake Link to the event.

From fine wines to handcrafted spirits and delicious gourmet dishes, Sample the Sierra 2024 promises an extraordinary journey through the region’s finest culinary offerings. Attendees will have the opportunity to taste, sip, and savor a wide variety of samples, all while enjoying live music from Robin Orr & Snowbound Music and exploring the vibrant marketplace featuring local artisans.

We’ll also be highlighting some of the new food and drink establishments that have joined our community. We hope that everyone who joins will discover something new and different among the familiar and consistent.
