Blue Granite Climbing Gym is a new rock climbing gym that opened in South Lake Tahoe in September. Beyond rock climbing, the gym also offers yoga and group fitness classes, youth camps and teams, fitness equipment, and can host groups and birthday parties. Blue Granite also has a coffee bar, smoothies, and food options for their customers to enjoy.

What type of business do you represent and how long have you been in business?
We are a brand new rock climbing gym in South Lake Tahoe near the “Y” (opened 9/13/18).
Tell us more about what products and services your business offers. Is there anything people may not be aware you offer?
We offer rock climbing (bouldering, top rope, lead climbing, autobelays), yoga and group fitness classes, cardio and fitness equipment, climbing instructional classes, youth camps and teams, group events and parties. We also have a coffee bar inside our building, run by local company Refuge Coffee, which serves coffee drinks, smoothies, and burritos from Verde.
Tell us about any current/upcoming events, promotions, or unique deals happening at your organization.
Our current big event is Rocktoberfest which is ongoing for the whole month of October, culminating with our Grand Opening Party on Sunday 10/28. For the whole month of October we will be having extra climbing classes, clinics, events, and competitions (more info and signups here: https://bluegraniteclimbing.com/classes/). Our Grand Opening Party will be from 2-10pm on Sunday 10/28 and include an official ribbon cutting, vendor booths and gear demos by Mammut, La Sportiva, Evolv, Black Diamond, Petzl, and Tahoe Heartbeat, food and drinks by The Oven, Verde, South Lake Brewing Company and Refuge Coffee, a knot rodeo, hula hooping contest, a Randori competition, fire dancing, DJ and a raffle.
